Mashed Potato Chutney
• 4 pulled large normal white potatoes -for 4 people
• Half a slice of Onion
• 3 Green chillies
• Less than 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 or 1 Teaspoon of Pure Mustard oil depending strong flavour you want.
• 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
• Fresh Coriander
• Tilda Basmati Rice
1) First peel 4 large white potatoes and then boil them until they are slightly soft by checking with a fork.
2)While
the potatoes are boiling, peel an medium size onion and chop it in
half. Next take the half piece of onion and start dicing it up very
thinly and put it in a bowl.
3) Wash 5 strips of long coriander leaves and dice them up and add to the bowl.
4)Wash
3 green chillies and dice them in tiny pieces and add them to the bowl.
Caution beware when touching chillies' make sure you wash your hand
very thoroughly, including the knife and chopping board.
5)Drain the potatoes and add them to bowl and mash them. Once all the potatoes are mashed.
6)
Add half or 1 teaspoon of pure mustard oil and mix all the ingredients
together in the bowl with a half teaspoon of salt for seasoning.
7) Serve the mashed potato chutney with boiled Tilda Basmati rice.
